Troubleshooting Common Clock Widget Issues
Wrong Time or Day Displayed
If your clock shows the incorrect time or day:
- Verify the time zone: Confirm the correct time zone is selected in your widget settings.
- Check your device's clock: The widget uses your computer's local time, so ensure your system clock is accurate.
- Refresh the page: Reload your page after adjusting settings.
- Consider daylight saving time: Ensure your time zone accounts for DST if applicable.
Embed Looks Cropped or Cut Off
If parts of your clock appear cropped:
- Resize the embed: Drag the corners of the embed block to adjust its size.
- Check mobile display: Test on mobile and simplify your design if needed.
- Adjust padding: Increase padding in the Indify widget editor to prevent cropping.
- Try different clock types: Switch to a more compact style like Digital Solid.
Labels Truncated or Don't Fit
If labels or text appear cut off:
- Shorten labels: Use abbreviations for city names or custom labels.
- Increase embed width: Widen the embed block for more space.
- Adjust alignment: Try different text alignment options.
- Reduce elements: Toggle off optional features like seconds or date text.
- Change font: Select a more compact font family.
Widget Not Updating After Changes
If changes aren't reflecting:
- Refresh your page: Reload the page where the widget is embedded.
- Clear browser cache: Try clearing cache or using an incognito window.
- Verify the correct widget: Ensure you're editing the right widget in your dashboard.
