What’s New

• We had many reports of users not finding their desired locations in the search results we were returning. We investigated this and made a big improvement to our search result accuracy.

• In addition to the auto layout we set by default, users can now choose from three distinct layouts: Horizontal, Compact, and Vertical. Premium users have access to a Vertical widget with transparent sides, which is perfect for Canva users who want a vertical layout without the excess background space around the widget.

• In addition to counting back from the date they ended, users now have the option to have their Counter widgets stop counting completely when the countdown is up.

• Implemented a smoother drag-to-resize behavior for all widgets on the Config page
• Implemented fit-to-container sizing for applicable widgets. It can be found on the Flip Clock, Countdown, Counter, and Weather widgets.
• We had many requests for a larger Counter widget, so we implemented new Size options to give users more control.
• Fixed awkward overlapping when the widget config window was bigger than the browser window.

• Gallery widget - fixed a bug where certain filenames could cause an image not to appear
• Config page widget preview and live widgets - fixed hover bar losing position on scroll for certain widgets
• Config page - fixed color picker being difficult to open on mobile devices and tablets.

Transparent backgrounds allows for even more customizable widgets. A newly-added alpha layer makes it easy to audition colors with transparent values, or toggle off your widget's background entirely. This gives you more control over how your widgets appear on your platform of choice, opening up the opportunity for attractive widgets wherever you are productive.
