    Widget Hover Menu

Each widget has a hover menu that exposes a couple of controls that can be accessed wherever your widget is embedded. You can configure the accessible controls on each widget’s configuration page.

    Basics

→ Hover over the bottom right corner of the widget

The hover menu is shown by hovering over the bottom right-hand corner of the widget. You’ll see it pop up when your hover anywhere on the widget, and it will expand fully when you mouse over it.

    → Hide the hover menu

The hover menu is enabled by default. You can hide it altogether by toggling off the Enable hover menu setting on your widget’s config page.

    Customize button

The customize button will take you back to the configure page on indify.co where you can change your widget’s settings and customize its appearance.

Note: if you’ve embedded your widget in Obsidian, you’ll need to Control + click (or Command + click on Mac) when clicking the “customize” button, otherwise the page won’t open.

If your widget is embedded in a public place, you may want to disable this feature. However, even if it’s visible, rest assured that other users won’t be able to customize your widget, as they’re tied to your own Indify account.

Clicking on the “Customize” button will check if the user is logged in (and is the owner of the widget) before they’re able to make any changes to the widget itself.

    → Hide the customize button

The Show customize button setting is enabled by default. Toggle it off to hide it from the hover menu.

    Dark mode toggle

Use this to toggle dark mode for your widget. This setting will only affect how the widget is displayed to you, as a way to override the setting used by your widget.

This setting isn’t always available, depending on how your widget’s background settings are configured. For more information, check out this part of our help center: No access

    Important Considerations

Please note that some features, like local dark mode, can't run without cookies. Please make sure they're enabled by following these instructions.
