The Indify Weather Widget embeds live weather conditions and multi‑day forecasts directly into your workflow, so planning your day, week, or travel becomes effortless without switching apps. Designed to feel timeless and unobtrusive, the widget blends with any workspace style while keeping current temperature, conditions, and forecast front and center. Indify’s widgets are built to be fully customizable and easy to set up, making the Weather Widget a dependable building block for personal dashboards, team hubs, and travel planners.
How to Set Up the Weather Widget
Step 1: Create the Widget
- Go to Indify.co and log in with your account.
- From your dashboard, select “Add new widget”.
- Choose Weather from the widget library, and choose a name to make it easy to recognize later.
⚙️ Configure What Matters
Select Weather Location
Choose your weather location by typing a location such as a city name or postal code, and then choose your preferred location from the results.
Preferred Units
Choose between Metric (°C) or Imperial (°F) to display measurements like temperature and wind speed in your preferred units.
Number of Days
Set how many days of forecast to display. 0 shows current weather only, meanwhile 1–7 shows current weather plus that many days of forecast (highs, lows, and daily conditions).
Hide Today’s Weather in Forecast
When enabled, today's weather is shown only in the current-conditions section at the top, it won't appear again as a separate forecast day. This keeps your forecast cleaner and avoids duplication when you're displaying multiple days ahead.
Step 2: Customize Your Weather Widget
- Type in the weather location for your widget.
- You can personalize it by changing the units (metric / imperial), number of days, and more.
- Update the styling to your liking, such as text + background colors, and more.
- The widget is fully responsive to the window size.
Pro-Tip: If you’re on a platform that locks a certain aspect ratio (like Canva), you can use the Orientation picker to lock the widget to a specific orientation.
🎨 Personalize Your Aesthetic
Orientation
Choose how the widget shows weather. Auto adjusts to fit your page automatically. Horizontal places current weather and forecast next to each other. Compact uses less space. Vertical Wide stacks everything vertically with more room. Vertical Transparent (Pro plan only) has a clear background, great for layering on platforms like Canva.
Animate Icons
Icons (sun, clouds, rain, etc.) are animated, adding motion and visual interest to your weather display.
Greyscale Icons
Icons are displayed in shades of gray instead of their default colors, giving a more subtle, minimalist appearance.
Text Shadows
Adds a subtle shadow behind text to improve readability, especially when text overlays images or uses lighter colors. This helps the text stand out more clearly against any background.
Visually Group Forecast
Forecast section is displayed with a subtle background that visually separates it from the current weather conditions above.
Color Settings
Update text colors & background colors to keep your aesthetics consistent in different environments.
Light and Dark Mode
Sync your widget’s appearance seamlessly with your platform’s environment, by selecting light mode, dark mode, use system setting, or do nothing.
Step 3: Paste Your Embed
- Copy the widget’s embed link from Indify.
- Open your Notion workspace.
- Type “/embed” and paste the link into your desired page.
- Resize and position the widget as needed.
