Embed Your Widgets on Framer
You can embed Indify widgets directly into Framer, where they’ll stay live, updating in real time. It’s a simple way to add interactive, always-up-to-date elements to your pages.
Embedding your Coda only takes 3 steps
Step 1: Create Your Widget
- Go to the Indify website and create or log into your account.
- Customize your desired widget (e.g., Calendar, Weather, Countdown, or Quotes).
- In the bottom left corner of the Indify editor, you will find and be able to copy the unique URL for your widget.
Step 2: Add the Embed Component in Framer
- Open your project in the Framer editor.
- In the top toolbar, click the "Insert" menu (or press
Ion your keyboard). - In the left panel, scroll down to the "Utility" section and select the "Embed" component.
- Drag and drop the Embed component onto your design canvas where you want the widget to appear.
Step 3: Paste the URL
- With the newly placed Embed component selected, look at the right-hand properties panel in the Framer editor.
- Under the "Embed" section, you should see an input field for a URL or an option to select "HTML".
- Paste the URL you copied from the Indify website into this URL input field.
That’s it!
Note
- Sizing: You may need to resize the Embed component on the canvas to ensure the widget displays correctly without scrollbars, adjusting its width and height properties in the design panel.
- Preview: The widget might not appear correctly within the Framer editor's canvas or live preview. To see the fully functional widget, you will need to publish your site.

Q: Can I use Indify widgets inside a Framer site?
A: Yes. Framer supports embedding external sites and widgets through its Embed component and iframe-based plugins. Indify widgets are just secure web URLs, so you can drop them into Framer via an embed. Framer+2framerspace.io+2
Q: The widget is not showing or has a browser error in Framer. What can I do?
A:
- Confirm the URL is correct and starts with https://.
- Preview the URL in a normal browser tab; if it doesn’t load there, fix that first.
- Some sites can be blocked in iframes by headers like
X-Frame-Optionsor Content Security Policy. Framer’s docs mention that some URLs simply can’t be embedded; if you see those messages for other services, the same rules apply. Framer+1
If an Indify widget still won’t render, contact Indify support with the widget link.
Q: Will Indify widgets slow down my Framer site?
A: Any embed adds another external request. A few widgets are usually fine, but filling a page with many heavy widgets (e.g., large calendars or dashboards) can impact load time. Framer itself recommends being mindful of the number of embedded iframes on a page. framerspace.io
Q: Are Indify widgets responsive in Framer?
A: Most Indify widgets are designed to be responsive, and Framer lets you control the size and constraints of the Embed frame. For the best result, set the embed frame to use flexible width (or pin it to both sides) and test on desktop and mobile breakpoints.
Q: Can I control widget colors and fonts to match my brand?
A: Yes. Customize the widget’s theme, colors, and sometimes fonts within Indify first. Once you save, your Framer embed will update automatically using the same URL.
