Instead of sending teammates to separate collections or cluttered folders, we provide a clean, always‑current image gallery embed that stays perfectly in step with the aesthetic of modern workspaces. Built with a timeless design sensibility, the Gallery Widget provides a distraction‑free way to present visuals where work actually happens. Whether you are a solo designer, a product team, or a classroom, the widget reduces friction, increases context, and turns static pages into living visual dashboards.
How to Set Up the Gallery Widget
Step 1: Create the Widget
- Sign in to Indify.co.
- Select Add New Widget and choose Gallery.
- Add an appropriate name for the widget (e.g., Design Portfolio – Spring Campaign).
⚙️ Configure What Matters
Upload images
Add images to your gallery. After you’ve added at least one image, click an image’s preview to replace, reorder, or delete it.
Image sizing
Image aspect ratios will always be maintained.
- Contain (default): Images may shrink to fit within the frame
- Cover: Images may expand to fill the entire frame
- Wrap Around Image Size: The frame conforms to each image’s size
Scroll speed
Control the time it takes to scroll from one image to the next.
Show dots
Toggle on or off the dot indicators below the gallery.
Step 2: Add Images
- Click Upload Image.
- Drag and drop images, or click the drop zone to add files via the file picker.
🎨 Personalize Your Aesthetic
Slide background color
Controls the color of the slide behind each image.
Text color
Controls the text color for slide titles and descriptions.
Arrow color
Controls the color of the navigation arrows. You may see separate options for light mode and dark mode to ensure optimal visibility across different viewing environments.
Dots color
Controls the color of the navigation dots below the gallery. You may see separate options for light mode and dark mode if you have not set a custom background color.
Drop shadows
Display shadows behind text to increase contrast between the text and the background.
Color Settings
Update text colors & background colors to keep your aesthetics consistent in different environments.
Light and Dark Mode
Sync your widget’s appearance seamlessly with your platform’s environment, by selecting light mode, dark mode, use system setting, or do nothing.
Step 3: Paste Your Embed
- Copy the widget’s embed link from Indify.
- Open your Notion workspace.
- Type “/embed” and paste the link into your desired page.
- Resize and position the widget as needed.

Yes. Add a Link to any image so viewers can open detailed specs, case studies, purchase pages, and more. By default, links always open in a new tab.
Q: Does the Gallery Widget support animated GIFs?
Yes, GIFs typically render like standard images. Keep file sizes modest to preserve performance.
Q: Can we include video inside the Gallery Widget?
The Gallery Widget focuses on images. For videos, can link an image tile to a hosted video page (e.g., a Notion page with a video embed, or a YouTube link). This keeps load times fast and avoids autoplay conflicts.
Q: How many images can we add?
There’s no strict hard cap for typical use, but for performance and clarity we recommend curated sets (for example, 12 images per gallery). For large archives, split content into multiple thematic galleries.
Q: Can teammates help maintain the gallery?
Currently, only the creator of the widget can add, remove, modify and reorder images, but we are exploring collaborative features in upcoming releases. To stay organized, align naming conventions and caption standards to keep galleries consistent across different dashboards.
Q: Does the Gallery Widget support responsive layouts?
Yes. The Gallery Widget automatically adapts to page width and device size, ensuring clear and consistent presentation across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Q: What image sizes do you recommend?
The Gallery widget was designed to flexible, and can be used for all sorts of image dimensions. For most use-cases, 1200–1600 px on the long edge balances clarity and load speed. We recommend using WebP or high‑quality JPEGs with smart compression for optimal results.
Q: Can we enable downloads from the gallery?
Downloads are governed by the image host. If you want viewers to be able to download the images, link the slides to a host that allows direct downloading and permissions you control.
Q: How can I maintain consistent caption formatting?
Adopt a house style (e.g., Title — Subtitle (Credit)). Keep punctuation, capitalization, and credit notation consistent for professional polish.
Q: Is the Gallery Widget secure?
All Indify pages are hosted over HTTPS, but each widget is by default shareable to anyone with an internet connection. However, these widgets should not appear be indexed in Google Search results, unless they are embedded in a page that allows search indexing. As a rule of thumb, the widget is only as secure as where it’s shared. Please avoid embedding any sensitive or confidential visuals in pages shared with the public.
Q: Does the Gallery widget offer different layouts, like Grid and Masonry layouts?
Currently, the Gallery Widget offers image sizing options (contain, cover, or wrap around image size) rather than grid and masonry layouts. Stay tuned for future releases where additional layout options may become available.
Q: Can we manually reorder images?
Yes. Use manual ordering controls to arrange images in your preferred sequence, or choose chronological ordering for timelines and case studies.
Q: Can we use the same gallery across multiple platforms?
