Troubleshooting the Google Calendar Widget
FAQs
Q: Can I display multiple Google Calendars to one widget?
Yes, with the Pro version of the Google Calendar Widget, you can connect and display multiple Google Calendars in a single widget. This allows you to view all your schedules (personal, work, team, and more) in one unified view. Please note that all calendars must be connected to the same account.
Q: Will the calendar update automatically when I make changes in Google Calendar?
Yes. The Google Calendar Widget pulls real-time data from your Google Calendar account. Any changes you make in Google Calendar, like adding, editing, or deleting events, will automatically reflect in your widget, once the page containing the embed gets reloaded.
Q: Can I edit or create events directly from the widget?
Yes, but only with the Pro version. The Pro Widget allows you to add, edit, and delete events directly within the embedded calendar. The free version is read-only and displays your calendar events from only one calendar, without editing capabilities.
Q: Does the widget work on mobile devices?
Yes. The Google Calendar Widget works on any platform that supports embeds, including Notion's mobile app. However, the editing experience may be more limited on smaller screens.
Q: Can other people see my calendar if I share my Notion page?
The widget will appear the same on every platform where it’s embedded. If it’s embedded in a shared Notion page for example, your team will see the same synced events.
If you’d like to restrict access controls, you’ll need to modify those on the page containing the embed.
Q: Is there a limit to how many events can be displayed?
The free version has a default event loading range, which is 1 month in the past and 3 months into the future. With the Pro version, you can customize the event loading range to display more past or future events according to your needs.
Q: What happens if my Google Calendar connection stops working?
If your connection is interrupted, you may need to re-authenticate your Google account through Indify. Visit the configure page for your widget, and click “Sign in with Google” to re-authenticate with your Google Calendar, and your widget should resume authenticating normally.
Q: Can I customize the colors of my calendar events?
Yes, with the Pro version, you can set custom colors for your calendar events to match your aesthetic preferences or to differentiate between different types of events.
Q: Does the widget support different time zones?
The widget currently displays events in the time zone of the device or browser you're using. We don't currently support manual time zone overrides. If you'd like to see time zone customization or other features added to the widget, please submit a feature request on the widget's configure page.
